“Where are we going to live now? … What will happen to our studies?” Do you remember these words of an innocent kid who was left barefoot in the cold month of January, 2024, when his Madrassa Kalan Mahal, was razed to the ground without notice? The Shaagird Foundation immediately went to the demolition-ridden area and helped him and other kids to have a roof over their heads, with the support of the Miles2Smile Foundation. After a short period of time, we arranged for their education. While working for them, we realize these kids need technical education too. To fill this gap, we have decided to establish a computer center for them; the Hope School. But does our work limit only till Madrassa Kalan Mahal? No! Along with these kids, we have envisioned enrolling kids from other Madrassas too, namely, Neem Wali, Qasim Ul Uloom, Bagh Wala, and Jharna Wala, making a total of 80 kids.
